we actually considered the pickle line here in NC.  It was on the ballot as proposition 113 last year I believe.  The cucumber industry had all their lobbying might behind it, but the relish industry argued that it was disciminating to other forms of pickled cucumbers, and the pickled egg industry wanted in, but cucumbers would have nothing of it...it ended up being a wash and failed by a 1% margin.
