hate speech is still defined the same way. You can excuse it by saying this person uniquely deserves hate speech, but, it's still hate speech. You think she deserves it? I think so does Barack. That does not bode well for unification.
Reality check... Hate speech actually means something more than just someone saying something mean about my favorite politician.

Now, kraant, it's natural to want to play with the trolls. They're fuzzy and raspy and string together hilarious phrases in place of rational speech. Like sexist boyz.

Alegre IS NOT a troll. I will defend her against your charge everytime. There are plenty of actual trolls running around here with the sole purpose of disrupting anything and everything Clinton in the most juvenile manner possible yet you turn your ire against alegre because she has the audacity to speak against your candidate. Alegre represents millions of women, and men, who feel about Obama exactly as she does, whether you or any other Obama supporter want to believe it or not. And if Obama isn't paying attention then he has no one to blame but himself when his aspirations begin to crumble.
I thought you didn't go in for personal attacks - yet here you are trashing the diarist. If you can truly listen to Pfleger's diatribe and say that Senator Clinton deserves it - then you promote hate speech - and you and I no longer have anything to say to one another.
And by the way - I know Pfleger well. Can you say the same? I lived 10 years in Chicago. He's a fixture on the nightly news. The man's considered a loon. He engages in violence and hate speech any time anyone threatens his little kingdom. He teaches in the Catholic school system. I have connections there (teachers I know and have worked with). Pfleger's notorious. I could cite you chapter and verse regarding his temper, and tendency towards self promotion.
But you seem to feel what he's had to say is all fine and good because he said it supposedly in support of Senator Obama. Let me tell you - the only person Pfleger supports is Pfleger. Why? She awkwardly paraphrased an AP article that noted her growing popularity among blue-collar white voters. You choose to impute ugliness into what she was thinking, but she was simply trying to clarify the nature of her support among blue-collar workers, because AA blue-collar workers, like all AA voters, are solidly behind Obama, but the rest of working-class America isn't. She apologized for her ill-phrased remark afterwards. Hillary is actually much better with this apology business than Obama, who lets his close associates cr*p all over Hillary and then afterwards never feels the need to apologize to her, but always mouths some BS about how so-and-so doesn't represent then tenor of his campaign. Yeah, right. Good luck selling that line to voters in the GE.
It's clear that Democratic voters are as easily manipulated by fears of appearing un-PC as Republican voters are manipulated by fears of terrorism. It doesn't matter in the least whether there's any there there.

you think all the posts here are high minded? You don't hear the seeming racism against black leaders who prefer Hillary at Daily Kos? No Quarter isn't perfect, but they are doing some real investigative reporting and I'd far rather hear it first from them than how it'll be sold by the swift boat team working for McCain. We need to vet ourselves, since Barack has seen fit to wait until it's made public before he lets us in on what will be used against him. Most people think we're judged by the company we keep, and you are free to judge me by that standard, it's not hard to see that Barack, who has had long-time associates who are racist and sexist will be judged by many using your logic, but with more credibility. I'm a blogger, I don't know any of my fellow bloggers personally, and you don't know me, but that logic that works for you will work against Barack.
Not all post here are high minded, but the offensive ones get TR'd or HR'd and condemned, and if repeated the posters are banned - like linfar and TexasDarlin. At Kos, who cares? Virtually every post at NQ would be TR'd if posted here. Please tell us about the real investigative reporting they are doing - surely you don't mean the hunt for the "kill whitey" tape?
I do entirely judge you by the company you keep at NQ, which exists only to promote these extreme views. So it is only these people's views that draws you to them, no mitigating circumstances at all. I am dismayed that anyone claiming to be a Democrat could read and post there.
