Re: Somewhere Senator Clinton is working her heart (2.00 / 2)

Believe me once he's elected I will be the first to "hold his feet to the fire"

I totally get your diary, but that above quote bothers me in ways I cannot even begin to describe.

I think feet should be held to the fire during all stages, not just after you win - because I think it smacks of hypocrisy if you wait.

Obama should not be taking his base lightly.  Sure, I get the pandering - but my god, pander like Hillary did - no one got "that" upset with the gas tax holiday - hell, Obama voted for it 3 times when he was an IL state senator.

But don't pander on the core principles of the democratic platform.

Re: Somewhere Senator Clinton is working her heart (2.00 / 1)

Thank you for your reply. I think I basically agree with what you are saying but in the end we will never know what a candidate will really do unless we elect him or her. I agree the candidate should always be aware of what is important to us.
I guess I'm talking more about the sniping and innuendo. Point Taken I think too we are putting more pressure on our candidate than McCain. Look at the diaries. How many are attacking McCain. Again I appreciate the feedback.
